IMPORTANT - HST TAX CHANGES:
As per recent changes in the Ontario Tax Code, most invoices created after May 1 2010 which include products and services that are to be delivered in part or wholly after July 1 2010, will include the new 13% HST tax, replacing both the GST and PST taxes. Some products previously exempt from PST will now be subject to HST, such as Internet and Digital Phone services.  For more details of how this HST TAX will affect you, please visit http://www.ontario.ca/taxchange or email us at telco@kelcom.com.

How do I setup my new cable modem?

Answer

First, remove your cable modem from the box it came in.  View the image below for a decscript of what each light and port is for:

First, you must attach the coaxial cable to the CABLE input on the back of the modem.  Next, attach a network (or ethernet) cable to the ETHERNET port on the modem.  The other end goes to the Ethernet Adapter on the back of your computer.  Next, plug in the POWER to the modem.  After approximately 30 seconds - 1 minute, you should have 4 solid lights on the RCA DCM-425 Cable Modem.  At this time, open Internet Explorer (or any other web browser) and enjoy your new service.
