Problem:
It takes up to a minute, or longer, to log in to KELCOM.

Discussion:
With some configurations of Microsoft Dial-up Networking (DUN), the dialer tries to locate and log into remote servers. In some cases, especially with the latest DUN, which typically comes with Windows98 or downloaded from Microsoft (V.1.3), this process can take a long time. Since you do not need to log into any remote servers with the dialer, you can safely disable this function.

Solution – Disabling log in to network function.
- Open My Computer and the Dial-Up Networking folder.

- Click once on the dialer you are using to connect to KELCOM, then go to the File menu and select Properties.

- In Properties, click on Server Types. This may be either a tab across the top, or a button near the bottom of the properties window.

- Uncheck the field that is labeled "Log on to network".

- Close the properties window and try to connect to KELCOM. If all goes well, you should log into KELCOM much faster.
